Here at the h2g2 Tennis Club, we are holding a virtual tennis tournament to coincide with Wimbledon fortnight.

The Tennis Courts

Fancy a game of virtual tennis? Why not put on your whites, grab your racket and head out onto any of the available courts.

Centre Court, Court No 1 and Court No 2 are the best known courts, but we have 20 in total so there is plenty of room. Why not find an empty court and indulge in a game of Innuendo or Compliment Tennis? All you need is two or four players and an umpire to keep the score and decide on difficult line calls. Serve up a good innuendo or compliment and see if your opponent can return it with another.

The Locker Room

The Locker room is available to players for changing, pre-match rituals and long hot showers after play has ceased. Fluffy towels available on request.

Refreshments

After a hard afternoon chasing balls around the court why not take time out to sit in the sun and drink Pimms by the Refreshment Tent? There are plates and plates of cucumber sandwiches, little angel cakes and pots of delicately fragranced tea.

Alternatively, you could take a wander or to the Strawberry stall and indulge in big bowls of glossy strawberries with thick golden cream...

The Frilly Knicker Shop

With tennis dresses becoming increasingly skimpy, you cannot go wrong with a good pair of frilly knickers to protect your modesty. Purchase your very own pair of frilly knickers and wear them with pride on your username to show that you are taking part in h2g2's virtual Wimbledon.

The Edited Guide is sadly lacking on entries about Wimbledon, so over the next fortnight we are looking for Researchers woul would like to write articles about any Wimbledon or tennis related topic.
